NASA's Office of the Chief Health and Medical Officer (OCHMO) is pleased to announce the Mayo Clinic EmbodyHealth, a trusted source of health information prepared by experts at the Mayo Clinic.
The Mayo Clinic EmbodyHealth is an online service for the purpose of health assessment and promotion. The web portal includes a Health Assessment, Ask an Expert, Diseases and Conditions, and Healthful Recipes, to name a few.
Both NASA civil service and contractor employees have an opportunity to use the secure Mayo Clinic EmbodyHealth website. Visit http://www.nasahealthieryou.com and complete the online registration form, use the unique identifier - healthiernasa - (one word, not case sensitive) to login.
Four top reasons to register on the Mayo Clinic EmbodyHealth web portal:
The online Health Assessment takes about 15 minutes. Completion of the Health Assessment produces a Personal Health Report summarizing your medical and lifestyle risk factors. See your personal physician or your center's Occupational Health Program staff if you need help to understand the report and to formulate a plan for change towards a "HealthierYou."
NOTE: NASA will not have access to any of your personal health information that you provide to the Mayo Clinic EmbodyHealth Program and will not receive a copy of your Health Assessment. NASA will receive only aggregate data to better trend, plan and deliver population-based preventive health programs across the agency, such as the HealthierYou Campaign and the associated health calendar.
While you are visiting the Mayo Clinic EmbodyHealth, be sure to take advantage of the available resources to help you get going and stay going. You'll find an exercise tracker and the "Fitness for EveryBody" program in the - My Tools - column on the right of your home page. You can also find additional resources in the "Fitness Center" under the "Improve Lifestyle Habits" tab.
